The town of Harpswell, located on Casco Bay, is a unique coastal community.Harpswell is composed of a ten mile penisula reaching out into the Bay from Brunswick and three large islands - Great Island - Orr's and Bailey - which are connected by bridges. There are over 200 smaller islands ranging from Eagle Island (once home to Admiral Robert Peary - now a State Park) to Thrumcap, a speck of an island in Pott's Harbor. There is more than 150 miles of shoreline in Harpswell supporting lobsterman, fisherman, and boating enthusiasts of all types.
