Mt Carrigain

Signal Ridge Trail

Hiked with Tim today to the summit of Mt Carrigain. From the summit you can see 44 of the 48 NH 4000 footers. Today we had great views and nice conditions.

Along the way we did some trail work, brushing back overgrown areas and removing blowdowns where we could. We caught a group of Juniors from a private high school that were in the middle of an 11 day backpack trip. They certainly didn't offer that kind of activity when I was in school - great to see!

Directions to Trailhead
From Glen NH at the intersection of Route 16 and 302, head north on Route 302 for @ 10 miles - there is a large parking lot on the left with signage for Sawyer River Road. The parking lot is plowed during the Winter.
