Mt Moosilauke

Glencliff - Carriage Rd

March 16, 2010

Woke to a nice day and headed over to the Glencliff trail on Mt Moosilauke on the western side of the mountain. The trail starts out on a farm road, and across a field before taking off from the left side of the 2nd field.

A gentle trail most of the way, it does have one steep section just before the junction with the Carriage Road. From here it is once again gentle to the summit. As I was @ 1/4 below the summit I could see soembody on top and then his two dogs running to greet me - what a welcome.

We chatted for a bit and I played with the dogs as we enjoyed the wonderful day - no wind and warm temps. Quick jog back down to the car where I found more snow had melted. Spring will be here shortly.
