Square Ledge

Oliverian Brook - Square Ledge Branch - Square Ledge- Passaconaway Cutoff

August 5, 2011

Met our friend Kristen a little after 10 at the trailhead for Oliverian Brook where I got to meet here two puppies, Moose, and Tuckerman, 1 1/2 year old lab/golden mixes. They were full of energy and excited to be going hiking.

The Oliverrian Brook tail starts out fairly level to a gentle grade, but is a very wet trail that is in need of some major trail work. 3.3 miles later we turned onto the Square Ledge Branch trail and crossed the brook. We followed this for .5 miles to the Square Ledge trail which climbed steeply next to the Square Ledgecliff.

At the top we enjoyed some nice views and a snack of blueberries while the dogs kept us entertained with their help. After eating we continued on the trail, descending to the Pasaconaway Cutoff trail which we followed back to the Oliverian Brook trail and the car.
