Middle - South Carter,Carter Dome

Nineteen Mile Brook, Carter Dome, Carter-Moriah trails

Tom & Fred met at the trailer and we carpooled over to teh start of the hike together. We arrived to find 3 cars in the parking area who we believe were staying at the hut.

The nineteen mile brook trail was very well broken out. The Carter Dome and Carter Moriah trails showed signs of recent usage but had lots of soft snow and areas that were drifted over.

Although the day started out cloudy, in the afternoon it cleared to reveal wonderful views from Carter Dome.

Directions to Trailhead
From Gorham head South @ 5miles on Rte 16 to the trailhead and parking on the left - no parking fee in the Winter.
