Today we joined the Random Hikers Meetup group for a hike up Edmunds Path to Mt Eisenhower, then the Crawford Path over to Mt Pierce before descending to the Clinton Road parking area.
The day brought bright sunshine with puffy clouds, quite a change from the recent rain we have had. We met at 9:30 and after a car spot we were on the trail a little after 10.
The trail was rather muddy, but clear of all obsticles. As we broke through the trees we had great views of Mt Washington. While enjoying the views and chatting, we looked down to see a garter snake sunny itself at our feet.
Off to the summit where we enjoyed great views, food, and met several others that were out enjoying the nice weather. after lunch we headed over to Pierce for more photos and food. Our descent was quick through the wet trail which resembelled a river in many places.
As we headed out to retrieve the cars we got to see a good size black bear eating blueberries in the field below the parking lot. Heading out we saw a moose and then another bear at the DPW lot.
Length of Hike: 6.5 hours
