Mt Hale
Hale Brook, Lend a Hand, Zealand trails

Today I met up with a woman who just moved to Manchester from Arizona to hike Mt Hale. We started out on Zealand Road at a quick pace. A mile into the hike we de-layered and end up hiking in just a light weight techwick shirt the rest of the day.
Lots of blue skies highlighted the snow laden trees as we made our way to the summit. We bare booted the first half of Hale Brook trail, but then used snowshoes as the snow deepened.
The summit was snow covered but with views of distant peaks when standing on the carin. After a short break we decided to descend via Lend a Hand trail to Zealand Hut and out Zealand trail.
The trail looked to have only had been broken out by a single person, which we found out later was the care taker at the hut yesterday. A fill up of water and we were on our way back to the cars. Great hike on a nice day.
