Wildcat A & D

19 Mile Brook, Wildcat Ridge, Polecat ski trail

Quick hike after yesterdays long day. Met up with Darlene, Lei, Tom, Dina, and Bella the four legged hiker. 19 Mile Brook trail was icey so we donned microspikes right away. When we reached the intersection of the Wildcat Ridge trail we found fresh snow that varried between 4 inches and a foot that was not broken out, so out came the snowshoes.

The crossing of the "slide" was a non-event as usual. The crossing of the ridge was fairly quick. Short stops for snacks along the way and we were over by the Wildcat ski area. We took the Polecat ski trail down. Saw a few ski patrol folksalong the way - they all waved.

Directions to Trailhead
From Gorham head South @ 5miles on Rte 16 to the trailhead and parking on the left.
