Peak Above the Nubble (3813)
The hike to the Peak Above the Nubble is via herd paths and a 1 mile bushwack. During the bushwack at times the spruce trees were so close it was like a wall - as you pushed your way through you couldn't even see your feet.
This is the track from our GPS for the route to the summit.
We choose too summit Nubble (Haystack) on the return trip so pushed on as soon came to the "Blair witch campsite" which has a firering and hanging antlers.

The hanging antlers.
The bushwack itself is a little less than 1 mile and took us a little over 2 hours to complete. At times we were 15 feet apart and could not see each other the spruce was so thick.

It was well into the 70's on the summit. We tried to leave our long sleves on while hiking, but with the heat we switched to short sleeves - unfortuantly we now all look like we went a few rounds with a cat.
